The largest photovoltaic power station in southern Jiangsu is connected to the grid and put into operation! VG Solar Vtracker 2P tracking system helps green energy development

On June 13th, the "Leading Danyang" photovoltaic power station project, which adopted the VG Solar Vtracker 2P tracking system was successfully connected to the grid for power generation, marking the official launch of the largest photovoltaic power station in southern Jiangsu.

"Leading Danyang" photovoltaic power station is located in Yanling Town, Danyang City, Jiangsu Province. The project utilizes more than 3200 mu of fish pond water resources from five administrative villages, such as Dalu Village and Zhaoxiang Village. It is built by complementing fish and light with a total investment of about 750 million yuan, which is the largest grid-connected photovoltaic power station in the five cities of southern Jiangsu Province so far. The project adopts VG Solar Vtracker 2P tracking system, with a total installed capacity of 180MW.

Vtracker system, as the 2P flagship product of VG Solar, has been applied in many projects at home and abroad, and the market performance is outstanding. Vtracker is equipped with the intelligent tracking algorithm and multi-point drive technology developed by VG Solar, which can automatically optimize the tracking angle, increase the power generation of the power station, and improve the wind resistance stability of the bracket by three times compared to conventional tracking systems. It can effectively resist extreme weather such as strong winds and hail, and reduce energy loss caused by battery cracking.

In the "Leading Danyang" project, the VG Solar technical team has comprehensively considered multiple factors and designed customized solutions. In addition to solving the problem of wind-induced resonance through multi-point drive design and ensuring the smooth operation of components, VG Solar also reduces the lateral force of the pile foundation according to customer needs and the actual environment of the project site. The spacing between rows and piles is set to 9 meters, which facilitates the passage of fishing boats and has been highly praised by the owner and all parties.

After the "leading Danyang" photovoltaic power station is put into use, it will continue to transport green energy for the western region of Danyang. It is estimated that the annual output of the power station is about 190 million KWH, which can meet the electricity demand of more than 60,000 households for one year. It can reduce 68,600 tons of standard coal and 200,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions a year.

While continuously expanding and enriching the application scenarios of the tracking system, VG Solar is also committed to innovating, continuously optimizing, iterating and developing products. At the recent 2024 SNEC exhibition, VG Solar exhibited new solutions - ITracker Flex Pro and XTracker X2 Pro series. The former innovatively uses a flexible full drive structure, which has stronger wind resistance; The latter is specifically developed for special terrains such as mountains and subsidence areas. With the dual efforts in research development and sales, the tracking system of VG Solar is expected to play a more role in the construction of a green and low-carbon society in the future.
